We seek to have a varied range of activities dealing
with Charles Dickens and his works. These include book and panel
discussions, theatrical presentations, guest speakers, readings,
film and video presentations, theater parties, area tours and dinner
discussions. True to the spirit of Charles Dickens, we do all these
in a spirit of fellowship and conviviality.
Our scheduled meetings are held five/six times
a year, generally on the second Sunday afternoon of the month in
select area venues. The president's newsletter announces the locations
of each of these meetings, the topics to be presented and gives
a map to guide the membership to the meeting locale. These meetings
are held in February, when Charles Dickenss Feb. 7 birthday
is celebrated, April, June, October and December. There is an annual
conference of the worldwide fellowship during July/August in a designated
branch world city.
We have two officers a president and a
secretary/treasurer whose terms are renewable and run for
two years. Anita Wilhelm, our Marchioness, does the mailings and
her term runs forever.
For membership applications email our secretary
at carol.larson@comcast.net.
Our branch representative at London Fellowship
Headquarters is Russell Jones.
